The Dewel Award til norsk kjeveortopedi

Et samarbeidsteam fra Norge, Tyrkia og Italia ble i mai tildelt The 2009 B.F. and Helen E. Dewel Award. Prisen gis til beste kliniske artikkel publisert i tidsskriftet The American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics året før.
Forfatterne Bjørn Zachrisson, Tamer Büyükyilmaz, Onur Kadigliou og Giuliano Maino fikk prisen for artikkelen «Contact damage to root surfaces of premolars touching miniscrews during orthodontic treatment».
Prisen ble overlevert ved 109th Annual Session of the American Association of Orthodontists i Boston, 1.–5. mai 2009.
Tamer Büyükyilmaz fikk for øvrig sin videreutdannelse i kjeveortopedi ved universitetet i Oslo, hvor han også har tatt doktorgraden.
